Walpole’s members include some of the UK’s most prestigious luxury brands, such as Burberry, Harrods, Rolls-Royce, and many others. The organization works to support the growth of the British luxury industry by advocating for its interests with government and media, organizing events and networking opportunities, and providing resources and information to its members.
Historic Chesterfield-crafter Fleming & Howland
Fleming & Howland is the creator of the world’s best-known British sofa and chair design: the Chesterfield. This highly distinctive visual design has been preserved using the same techniques since its origins over two centuries ago. As a small cottage industry, the family migrated from the forests of High Wycombe to the plains of Lancashire where it quietly operates under an exclusive direct-to-consumer business model. The brand’s philosophy? Trends come and go, fashions change with the seasons, but quality and style are eternal.

Christys’ Hats
Now celebrating its 250th year, Christys’ Hats’ passion for impeccable quality and skilled craftsmanship has passed through generations of hatmakers, safeguarding Christys’ red and gold insignia as a symbol synonymous with fine traditionally crafted hats. Today, the company still produces its hats using traditional methods at its factory in Oxfordshire, England. The journey is such that its craftsmen and women train for many years to develop their hatting skills, and Christys’ prides itself on the unique craftsmanship still applied to their hat making.
