Whether dining alfresco or simply relaxing outdoors, create a stylish, comfortable and practical outdoor living space with the luxury outdoor upholstery fabrics.
As the latest collection from luxury outdoor fabric specialist Extex, Plume takes inspiration from the delicate beauty of layered feathers to evoke the soft, velvety texture of a bird’s plumage. Designed for outdoor use in a range of settings, Plume features a sumptuously soft chenille surface that promises to transform the outside with style and comfort. Influenced by the diverse colours found within the finest of feathers, the collection includes nine versatile colour options, ranging from the neutral tones of Heron and Kestrel to the vivid, saturated shades of Rosefinch or Swallow.
The range is designed to sit effortlessly within the existing Extex collection and provides a subtle surface pattern that can be complemented by the plain textures of Mull and Fauna, or mixed and matched with other patterned collections such as Outline for a unique identity.
Inspired by the plumage of birds from across our continent, design influences are taken from their distinctive feather patterns to create a quirky woven textile, reminiscent of on-trend chevron compositions. In keeping with the inherent water repellence of a bird’s feathers, all Plume fabrics are treated to repel both stains and water, ensuring a collection that is perfect for an impromptu garden party or vacation at sea onboard a luxurious yacht.
Extex is exhibiting the new Plume collection at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 (26-29 September, 2018) – the annual trade show in Monaco held in Port Hercules. The event is Europe’s biggest in-water display of large yachts.. The luxury outdoor fabric range features a vast range of colours, textures and patterns, including embossed, richly textured and sumptuous plain chenilles, and innovative glow-in-the-dark decorative patterns.
The 2018 floating exhibition in Monaco will display 120 superyachts for an average length of 49 metres. On the quays, the different exhibition areas dedicated to the yachting and luxury sectors, and the thematic areas related to superyacht lifestyle like the Tenders & Toys, the Car Deck or the brand-new Art Pavilion – dedicated to the exhibition of art pieces – will give the tempo to visit the 580 exhibiting companies.
If the Monaco Yacht Show is renowned worldwide for displaying the most jaw-dropping superyachts every year since 1991, the event also dedicates an exhibition space to tailor-made luxury cars, customised according to the desires and personal tastes of their owners as with a superyacht.
