Dior Pop-up at Harrods is featuring exclusive and limited-edition items.
Until Friday 31st August, Dior is hosting a pop-up at Harrods, the London luxury department store, showcasing its Autumn/Winter 2018-2019 creations.
Featuring exclusive and limited-edition iterations of the Dior Saddle, Miss Dior and CD Hobo bags, along with debuts from the Diorquake pouches, clogs, and an array of styles of Mitzah – the silk scarves paying tribute to one of Christian Dior’s muses, Mitzah Bricard – every piece is emblazoned with the iconic Dior graphic motif in green in honour of the famous Harrods hue. Plus, for the first time, Dior is offering a personalisation service on the brand’s much-loved Book Tote.
“Inspired by the May 1968 generation, the Autumn-Winter 2018-2019 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri evokes the spirit of freedom as much in its creation as in its associations, shapes and materials. From organza dresses to printed jeans and bags inspired by the House’s archives, get a sense of the revolutionary liberated values of the sixties through our video.,” commented Dior.
Captured by the photographer Pamela Hanson, the images in the autumn-winter 2018-2019 campaign plunge the viewer into a sixties ambiance, against a backdrop of protests and female emancipation.
DIOR WINDOWS AROUND THE WORLD
Reprising the decor of the Autumn-Winter 2018-2019 show, some of Dior flagship boutiques have received a dramatic makeover to mark the collection’s arrival in stores. Fusing architecture with fashion and seismic societal change, the facades of Avenue Montaigne, New York, Tokyo, Seoul and others have been wrapped in an unmistakable amalgam of color and slogans to channel the spirit of the 1968 generation.
