Valentino’s creative directors have been working on menswear collections for some time. They usually present their pieces in the fashion house’s showroom in Place Vendôme, Paris, but their Fall/Winter 2012 display will be more special.
The duo have been chosen as the guest designers at the Pitti Uomo 81 event, while is taking place in Florence in January.
“Their work combines a dynamic, contemporary spirit with the sartorial savoir-faire of a house that wrote a huge chapter in the history of fashion,” Pitti Immagine CEO Raffaello Napoleone explained in a statement.
Pitti Immagine Uomo is a fashion fair which attracts the biggest names in the business. Designers, buyers and other industry professionals flock to the event, with 32,000 people going last year. The Valentino designers’ presentation will be staged on January 11.
