Guerlain Cryptobees is a unique collection of exclusive NFTs (non-fungible tokens) which will be sold to support the rewilding of 28 hectares of nature reserve.
Cryptobee will help support the rewilding of the Millière Valley in France.
As one of the main pillars of Guerlain’s commitment, the preservation of nature is at the heart of the Millière Valley project, created by French photographer, director and environmental activist Yann Arthus-Bertrand. This place is a haven of biodiversity located in Mesnuls, one hour from Paris.
The site is located in the Yvelines, on the edge of the Rambouillet forest. Since Yann Arthus-Bertrand bought it in 2020, this site, classified as a “natural zone of faunistic and floristic interest“, has been transformed into a haven of biodiversity. More than 350 species of animals and plants have already been identified.
Echoing Guerlain’s commitment to sharing and passing on savoir-faire, the luxury French Maison is announced its new role as Sustaining Patron of the Millière Valley conservation area. Guerlain also supports the creation of an educational garden (‘Le Jardin des Partages’) in the nature reserve, intended to act as a public space for recreation and learning. The garden will welcome Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser to help study and implement regenerative agriculture to ensure a perennial life cycle for the garden’s plants and flowers.

The nature reserve is destined to become a privileged field of study and experimentation for researchers working on reducing the human impact on ecosystems.
Each NFT is hosted on Tezos, one of the most sustainable and energy-efficient blockchains.
Each Crytpobee has unique characteristics and is linked to one of the 1828 parcels of the land. The collection is composed of 4 rarity levels: 15 varieties of flowers and plants identified in the area; 21 natural materials inspired by the geology of the reserve; geographic coordinates of the land parcel that the nft supports.

The area is virtually divided into 1828 parcels. Thus, each Cryptobee sponsors one parcel of the 28 hectares.
100% OF THE SALES ARE INVESTED IN THE RENATURALISATION OF THE RESERVE
The sale of the NFTs contributes to the rewilding of the area and research for the restoration of ecosystems.

HOW TO BUY A CRYPTOBEE?
A Cryptobee is a NFT (Non-Fungible Token). To get a Cryptobee, you must own a cryptocurrency wallet compatible with Tezos. You will then be able to buy your Cryptobees and retrieve them from your wallet.
Here are the different steps to buy an NFT:
1. Create a wallet;
2. Make sure you have enough XTZ on your wallet to cover the purchase and transaction fees of the NFT;
3. The day of the sale, a redirection link to the selling platform will be added to the website;
4. Click on the purchase button and confirm the transaction in your wallet;
5. Once the purchase is confirmed, your Cryptobee will be available in your wallet.
The launch of the Cryptobees collection will occur next month. The exact date has not yet been announced.
