A blue diamond celebrity ring like no other.
What I admire at diamonds, besides their rarity and enchantment, is the unique personality and the mystic aura. Each brilliant is a time machine and an amazing symbol of beauty transcending time, a symbol of eternity, strength, and of course-everlasting love. God of Mines himself put in the blue diamonds the idea of greatness, vastness, all-inclusiveness, and infinitude beyond our perception. A beyond rare blue diamond can be perfected only with a special setting and a great artistic personality.
If any actress sums up the best of perpetual elegance and charm through decades, it is Emmy award-winning, Legendary Bond Girl (Live and Let Die), and the romantic “Dr. Quinn” Jane Seymour, OBE. Probably one of the most beautiful actresses her age, Seymour leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes. It is no wonder that diamond conglomerate World of Diamonds designed a Jane Seymour “Stone of Invincibility” honoring her Lifetime Achievement in Cinema. Designed for World of Diamonds private collection, the creation of Jane Seymour 2.08 carat cushion-cut blue diamond and platinum ring marks a milestone in diamonds history and the creation of a celebrity ring like no other. As the first and the only jewelry piece named after Seymour herself, this stunning nontraditional ring is the only celebrity ring in the world that is not pre-owned.
The combination of matte and gloss rose-gold plating perfectly complements Asians’ skin tones giving the blue diamond a revitalizing and unpredictable perspective. Many individuals in Europe and the Americas are opting for rose-gold as well – as it provides a combination of class and elegance, since most find white gold being “too contemporary” and yellow gold being “too classic”.Plated with rose-gold, the high jewelry objet d’art is adorned with Erodium malacoides, a species of flowering plant in the Geranium family, a nod to the grace, elegance and sensibility of Jane Seymour. The delicate plant bears small flowers with five lavender to magenta petals.
In addition to the unconquerable hardness, diamonds are great amplifiers of energy. According to the World of Diamonds statement, the ring “represents the A-lister who is overflowing with energy and preparing for her next roles in the film and theater industry.”
Diamonds are formed under pressure but never forget they are not formed overnight.
Diamonds come in all colors of the rainbow, but the blue diamonds are some of the rare and precious treasures made by duo Earth and Time.
This perfect blue diamond was born from a non-symmetrical structure. Like sculptors of genius using carving for the removal of material and tooling, the finest experts of the world were commissioned by World of Diamonds, one of the world‟s largest privately held diamond corporations, to plan the state-of-the-art cutting process filled with big challenges. One slip and the beauty of the diamond will be destroyed. A year in the making, the magnificent cushion-cut 2.08 carat diamond of perfect proportions finally was ready to meet its destiny and go on the quest of finding its owner. Pure as a dewdrop and invincible in hardness, Jane Seymour blue diamond secured a place in jewelry history for the refinement of its architecture, and for the incomparable quality of crystal structure and the finishing.
Signed “W.O.D. Genève” and hallmarked “PT950”, the creation of the chef d’oeuvre in Geneva involved top craftsmen from World of Diamonds design house. Three master gemologists and designers worked over 336 hours to shape the silhouette of the jewel, perfect the flower details and the symmetry of the masterpiece. The ring is also accompanied with a hand-crafted Treasure Chest.
Although she has been asked to return many times to theatre, Jane Seymour has not been on stage since 1980. “The Vortex”, Noel Coward’s highly acclaimed play, staged this Spring at Singapore’s British Theatre Playhouse‟, was a “vehicle” to come back, as unveiled the actress with an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Jane Seymour – the brand ambassador for The Jane Seymour – succumbed to the charm of the tribute ring and saluted its magnetism at the welcome dinner hosted by World Of Diamonds Group at CÉ LA VI Singapore, the high-end destination conceived by L Capital Asia, the Asian private equity business sponsored by LVMH luxury giant. The cast members of The Vortex play were treated to a 12-course luxury dining. Jane Seymour also received a rare 21.61 carat Amethyst, the actress’ birthstone, presented by Karan Tilani, Head of Asia at WORLD OF DIAMONDS Group.
The exquisiteness of the elegant ring crafted in the actress’ honor was enhanced by Jane Seymour‘s blue dress and complemented with Open Hearts jewelry collection which Seymour is the designer for.
Bright, beautiful, valuable, and always in style – just like a diamond, the A-Lister attended an art-for-charity gala evening which benefited the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The celebrity ring had a tour of its own, being showcased at the most prestigious venues in Singapore. Flamboyant celebrations were held for Seymour at the Raffles Singapore, and on the imposing Royal Albatross sailing ship, an exclusive lunch hosted by World of Diamonds, Resorts World Sentosa and Tall Ship Adventures.
Other highlights of the top-end festivities were the 5-course degustation of French-inspired cuisine at Angelina, Capitol Piazza and the after-dinner party at 1-Altitude Singapore – the world’s highest alfresco bar.
But you will not see the unique ring in the catalogs of auction houses. While 90 percent of all creations that pass through Christie’s or Sotheby’s are pre-owned, this is not the path destined for Jane Seymour blue diamond trophy.
“The invitation to behold this creation would rather you not compare The Jane Seymour to anything else in the High Jewelry world. It is a celebratory treat, more comparable to a mega-yacht or a ticket to the moon,” said Karan Tilani, Director, World Of Diamonds Group.
In order to be selective with the future owner, the creators of the ring are on a quest for a true connoisseur who will appreciate the fascination, preciousness, and craftsmanship of the fancy vivid blue diamond jewelry in platinum. According to World of Diamonds, the conglomerate involved in mining, polishing and distribution of diamonds and diamond jewelry all over the world, “the connoisseur must also fulfill certain criteria established at the discretion of the Group’s Chairman.”
Jane Seymour during an interview for Channel NewsAsia :
Being rarer equals to be more valuable. Looking at 2015 records from auction powerhouses, the Jane Seymour diamond could easily fetch in excess of USD 2,000,000, however, as World of Diamonds confirms, “the creation is priceless after accounting for its celebrity recognition.”
When speaking about diamonds, “size does matter”, said Elizabeth Taylor, “but so does the size of the emotion behind it.”
