World Spa Awards winners celebrated at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Thailand was crowned the world’s best spa destination by travelers and industry leaders at the inaugural World Spa
Awards celebrated at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Vietnam. The Emirates Palace Spa in Abu Dhabi
emerged a big winner, taking the title of World’s Best Hotel Spa and World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment for its
24-carat gold facial.
Talise by Jumeirah has been awarded the World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand title, Lanserhof Tegernsee took the World’s
Best Medical Spa 2015 trophy, while Six Senses Spa at Evason Ma’in Hot Springs became World’s Best Mineral & Hot Springs Spa 2015.
Also recognised among the winners during the red carpet ceremony was Gaia Retreat & Spa (World’s Best Day Spa
2015), Mandara Spa at Norweigen Cruise Line (World’s Best Cruise Spa 2015), Six Senses Spa at Con Dao Vietnam
(World’s Best Eco Spa 2015), and Anantara Spa at Banana Island Resort Doha Qatar (World’s Best Private Island Spa
2015).
HARNN Heritage Spa at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort walked away with the awards for Vietnam’s Best
Hotel Spa and World’s Best New Hotel Spa.
“World Spa Awards was developed in reaction to overwhelming demand from the spa industry for a programme that was
fair and transparent.The World Spa Awards is a new and dynamic awards programme for 2015, whose aim is to drive up standards within the spa industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field,” explained the organizers.
The event was launched by the World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 22nd anniversary, which already
successfully runs the World Ski Awards and the World Golf Awards.
